We have variety of animals and birds that you would traditionally find
on a British farm.
Gloucester Old Spot Pigs
Introduced during the latter part of last season our Gloucester Old Spots have quickly established themselves as firm favourites with customers and staff alike. When possible we get customers to help with the feeding.
Sheep & Lambs
We have a small flock of sheep and by Easter we will have lots of baby lambs who are mostly orphans. This doesn’t normally mean that their
mother died but probably she had 3 lambs and is only able to look after
2 of them.
It is quite a lot of work bottle feeding so many lambs and we are very
grateful when our visitors help us.
Goats
We have mixed herd of
goats whose main interest in life is eating. They eat grass, hay,
goat mix, the wooden fence around their field, and if they have visitors
they’ll nibble
coats, trousers or jumpers.They especially love goat mix and bags of their favourite food can be purchased from the entrance desk.
Chickens
If you want to know what a free range chicken
looks like then you can come and see ours. They go exactly where
they want to go and no one will persuade them to do anything different.
